Randy and Cubie Kennedy
Randy and Cubie Kennedy are serving the Lord in Bolivia. Randy and Cubie have four children. Reuben, 21 years old is in the Army and currently serving in Germany. He recently finished his tour in Iraq. Jacob, 20 years old shares an apartment with his 18 year old sister in Winter Haven, Florida. Both are working for a company called Greater Atlantic Warranties. Both plan to enter college in the fall of 2008. Jessi, 14 lives with dad and mom in Santa Cruz Bolivia where they have served for the past three years. Jacob, Keilah and Jessi were all born in Venezuela.

Before coming to Bolivia, the Kennedys served in Venezuela for 15 years as a family. Randy grew up in the jungles of Venezuela, moving there when he was eight years old with his parents Wes and Harriett Kennedy. The Kennedys had the privilege of working with a very isolated group of Monolingual Indigenous Indians known as the Yuanas in the heart of the Venezuelan Amazon Jungle. During the time of their service there, they along with their co-workers were able, to learn the tribal language, develop an alphabet for them, teach them to read and write in their own language, translate scriptures into their language, and teach them the Word of God. All, but two Yuanas from their village and the one up river, put their faith in Christ and are now brothers and sisters in the Lord. Since then, several Yuana families have been reaching out to other Yuanas from villages further away. Even though Missionaries are no longer allowed to live among the tribal peoples of Venezuela, the Word of God continues to be translated into their language and a way found to get the Word of God to them. God is Faithful.

The Kennedys currently serve at Centro Etnos, which is a Training and Discipleship Center that focuses on training Latin Americans to do Cross Cultural Tribal Evangelism. Randy and Cubie are able to use their experiences from having lived and work among the Yuanas to teach and disciple Missionary Candidates in everything from learning a tribal language through the use of an International Phonetic Alphabet, which uses signs and symbols to represents sounds produced by the mouth, to learning methods used in gaining understanding of a Tribal Indian Culture vastly different from the Latin Culture. They also work closely with the students in developing a relationship with their supporting churches. A part from their role as teachers, they also work closely with the Bolivian church as representatives for Centro Etnos, offering seminars, conferences, workshops, and other means to inform the church on the work of cross-cultural tribal evangelism.
